Dimensions of the molas
Let us remember that the word “mola” means blouse in the Guna language and is part of the clothing that Guna women adopted upon the arrival of European settlers (see section “what is a mola” if you want to know more about the history of molas) Therefore, all the molas have a very similar size since it is a part of the said blouse.
Round a measurement of 17 x 13 inches (43 x 33 cm) approximately. Let’s also remember that each mola is a unique piece made by hand, not an industrial product, so these measurements may vary slightly to more or less size.
